Karriereportal Kerntechnik is a series of events that enables exchange and personal networking. The goal is to create orientation, share knowledge and make concrete career paths visible – from a thesis topic to the first job offer.
As an opportunity for everyone, the event is intentionally free of charge and takes place regularly at different universities.
Presentations by experts from industry and research show how diverse the sector is and which paths are possible.
Our career coaches bring experience from both practice and academia and share tips that go beyond classic guides.
Whether in short talks, guided group discussions or personal one-to-one sessions: we invite companies, institutes and funding programs that are ready to speak openly about opportunities, challenges and their daily work.

Who is behind Karriereportal Kerntechnik?
The Karriereportal Kerntechnik is an event format of actimondo eG.
The platform was launched in 2023 to give students and doctoral candidates practical access to nuclear and energy technology.
actimondo organizes the events at universities, online and on site. You can find more information about the cooperative at https://www.actimondo.com/en/.
Do I have to pay to participate, and how are you funded?
No, participation is free of charge for you. We finance the events through partners and funding.
Our goal is to give as many young people as possible a realistic insight into the industry, regardless of their budget.
What happens at a Karriereportal event?
On the event page you will always find the current event with date, location and all important information. Here you can also register directly free of charge.
The event is a full-day career format with fixed program points.
You will get to know companies from the industry, ask targeted questions and build your personal network.
The schedule looks like this, for example:

10:00 am – Company pitches
The companies introduce themselves and give you a compact insight into their fields of work, entry opportunities and future topics.

12:00 pm – Lunch (free of charge)
Open atmosphere, time for exchange with students, professionals and company representatives.

12:30 pm – One-to-one and group conversations with the companies
Experienced representatives are there for you in personal and open conversations to address your questions, whether about career entry, project ideas or thesis work.

3:30 pm – Experience reports and impulses
Young professionals and experts give you insights into their paths and share their real-life experiences.

4:00 pm – Joint closing
The day ends with a small surprise and the opportunity to make final connections.
Does your concept really work, even for me?
If you are curious, want career orientation or are looking for contacts in the industry, then YES.
Many of our participants found internships after the events, discovered topics for their thesis or even landed a job right away.
And some simply realized that the industry suits them. Or that it doesn’t – which is just as helpful.
Do I have to be a student to participate?
No. Most participants are students or doctoral candidates, but anyone who is in training , currently unsure about their direction, considering a career change or just starting out is warmly welcome.
If you are interested in nuclear or energy technology, this is the right place for you, regardless of your status.
